What is Full Tab Cell？
A full-tab battery cell (also known as a tab-less design) utilizes the entire rear end of the current collector as the tab through a clever structural design. The cover plate (current collector plate) increases the tab’s conductive area and the connection area at its junction, shortening the tab’s conductive distance.
Compared to traditional batteries, a full-tab battery offers approximately 70% lower internal resistance, a 35% reduction in high-current discharge temperature, and a 100% increase in cycle life. It supports continuous discharge currents up to 100A and pulse discharge currents up to 200A. This extremely low internal resistance enables ultra-fast charging at a 5C rate, enabling a super-fast charge of 80% SOC in just 10 minutes.
